Baldi Hot Springs Resort Hotel & Spa is strategically located in the heart of the rainforest in La Fortuna de San Carlos.

For us it will be a pleasure to pick you up at the Juan Santamaria International Airport in San Jose, the Liberia International Airport in Guanacaste or at any Hotel on the Central Valley ( Metropolitan Area)

If you rather like to drive from San Jose there are two ways to get to Baldi Hot Springs Resort Hotel & Spa . We recommend to be really wary due to the characteristic winding roads. Also if you are coming from the Poas Volcano Zone or the West Northern Area (Guanacaste).

The trip from San Jose to Baldi Hot Springs Resort Hotel & Spa takes approximately 3 hours and from 3 to 4 hours if you are coming from Guanacaste depending of the point of departure.

Driving Instructions coming from San Jose

1. Take the Inter-American (I-1) Highway North. After 17 Km going North you will be close to Alajuela City, on the left hand side you will see the Juan Santamaria International Airport. Keep going straight for 56 more Km until you reach the city of San Ramon. When you pass by a town called Palmares it is about 5 to 10 more minutes to get to San Ramon. Take the entrance to San Ramon on the right. You will see a road sign for the Arenal Volcano.
2. Turn toward San Ramon and continue straight on the main road until it hits the main avenue cutting through the city. Turn left and continue two blocks to the San Ramon Hospital. Turn right and keep going straight following the road to La Fortuna town. Along the way you will come across two more signs for the Arenal Volcano.
3. Follow the signs to La Fortuna town and the Arenal Volcano. You will pass through several small towns, such as Los Angeles, Balsa and Bajo de los Rodrigues, where you will come to a toll-booth (payment optional) in a fork in the road. Turn right at this point. Keep going along the road until you reach a small town called Santa Clara after crossing a metal bridge. Turn left following the main road, you will drive through several more small towns as La Vega, Los Angeles, El Tanque, until you get to La Fortuna town.
4. Once you are in la Fortuna, keep going west about 4Kms following the signs to Baldi Hot Springs Resort Hotel & Spa . We are on the left of the road.

Directions to Baldi Hot Springs Resort Hotel & Spa from the North Pacific Beaches at Guanacaste Province.

As a preference to you for being our guest, we offer the service of picking you up at any resort located in the Guanacaste area.

When you are coming to Baldi Hot Springs Resort Hotel & Spa from the Liberia International Airport or from any of the main beaches of the Northern Pacific area, we recommend driving west to Liberia going to Canas and Tilaran on a 3 to 4 hour trip bordering the scenic views of the Arenal Lake.

1. If you are coming from any of the following beaches: Tamarindo, Flamingo, Conchal, Langosta, Potrero, or Sugar Beach, driving back between Santa Cruz and Liberia. Turn north towards Liberia, driving through the city called Filadelfia . In approximately 60 to 75 minutes you will reach the Interamerican Highway.
2. If you are driving back from the Papagayo Gulf resorts, follow the road to the Liberia International Airport and turn north towards the city of Liberia. Driving to this point will take you from 30 to 45 minutes.
3. If your point of Origin is any of the following beaches: Hermosa, Ocotal, El Coco, or Panama Beach, follow the road that ends near the city of Filadelfia , turn north driving past the Liberia International Airport reaching the Interamerican Highway by the city of Liberia.
4. Once you are on the Interamerican Highway, turn south easthern onto the way to Canas, Puntarenas or San Jose.
5. Keep on your way south easthern driving passing by the entrance to the town of Bagaces, reaching the city of Canas. Turn North into town from the Interamerican Highway. Follow the signs to Tilaran.
6. Drive for about 20 to 30 minutes to the outskirts of the town of Tilaran, keeping yourself away from the main entrance to town, follow the signs to the Arenal Lake and Volcano. Keep going for about 15 minutes, stay on the left when you reach a fork on tfhe road, follow the signs to la Fortuna and Arenal Volcano.
7. Stay on the scenic view road surrounding the Arenal Lake. After driving approximately 90 minutes, pass the town of Nuevo Arenal and the dam at the end of the Lake and continue east towards La Fortuna.
8. Stay on the road for about 15 minutes until you see the Baldi Hot Springs Resort Hotel and Spa on your right hand side.
